Hey Fam!

It’s been a little over a month since I’ve checked in with you! I pray that all is well and that you’ve been having a great Holiday Season so far!

I’m not sure about you, but 2017 was definitely a year of transition for me. So many up and downs, times I lacked focus, so many things from my past resurfacing as a tool for writing. So much growth, so many growing pains, so much… Love! I really want to share that with you 🤗.

This has definitely been my most inconsistent blogging year! Sometimes I felt like a total failure in this area. I thought that I had to have everything perfect in order to blog. That it had to be a certain length, right time of day, etc etc. I lost what this blog was founded on, I lost my voice. In the midst of analytics and trying to grow a brand and juggling careers that have nothing to do with each other, I lost how much I simply loved writing and sharing with you all my lessons and wins. At the end of the day, at the end of the calender year, I’m reminded that it’s you who matter. Yes, you that’s reading this right now! At some point today, you decided that whatever I had to say was important enough to read and you’ve given me something that you can never get back, your time.

On the other hand, I’ve learned so much about myself this year… I’ve grown closer to God on a level that I’ve never experienced before and I’m so excited to continue to explore! My writing has increased greatly and my ability to show you what I’m feeling and where I’m at through spoken word has allowed me to touch many lives. For this, I regret nothing. The “Over It” series is not over! We have pressed pause but I still receive (over it) suggestions from readers and close friends that want me to unpack the meaning of what we’ve been taught.

As this is my final blog for the year, I offer you this… Never allow anyone or anything to make you stop questioning the boundaries humanity often places on situations. We are so quick to believe that something is impossible, but what if it isn’t? What if you could have that new job, car, house, dream, vision, business? What if it’s already yours and you just need to claim it? What if we simply needed help with our unbelief?

In 2018 I challenge you to be the thing you need to believe. If you need to believe in hope, then I challenge you to be hope for someone else. If you need to believe in change, I challenge you to be change. If you need to believe in love, I challenge YOU to be LOVE!

We are all here looking for connection. Often times for a feeling we’ve never felt. Chasing what the world tells us we should want and then going after it full steam, but feelings are fleeting. If I can temporarily provide that in these writings, then great, I’m glad I made you feel… Something. What I can’t give you here, I can offer you in an introduction to a God who knows no bounds. Who is sovereign, and loves so much deeper than we ever could!
