Boy have I missed you all!!! It’s Thursday afternoon/evening and I pray you all had a wonderful week/month. I know I haven’t posted since Thanksgiving (😐) but I’ve been hibernating (not sure if that’s a good word or not lol)… Writing and preparing to take you all forward with me in this next level I’m headed to.
How have you all been?!? As I sit on this plane drinking a watered down Frappuccino and eating cold oatmeal, I finally have enough quiet to sort through my thoughts…
A few weeks ago my good buddy Janae and I went on a trip, and in preparation for this trip I put everything I needed in my jacket. (I don’t carry a handbag, but that’s another story for another time 😀) this includes the memory cards to my dslr (camera). We actually never used the camera on our trip so I forgot they were there.
Fast forward a few days later and I have a photoshoot… as a photographer, I usually have multiple memory cards. Well imagine my surprise when I pull up to the shoot with no memory cards… except the very first one I ever had (it’s slow… extremely slow, well in comparison to what I usually shoot with). I made it work though and the shoot went pretty well.
For about a week I’ve been searching EVERYWHERE for these memory cards!!! This morning I received a random revelation that the memory cards were in my pocket. My first thought was surely they’re not in there. I’ve had that jacket with me this whole time. I walk over to the jacket and slowly unzip one pocket and no memory cards. I unzip the other pocket and there they are…
They were literally with me the WHOLE time!!!
Yesterday, I was blessed to be a part of a youth program where we explored The Gift… and I think this goes hand in hand with the whole concept of what we do with the gifts we are given. Sometimes we store our gifts, to the point where we forget what we have… then when we need it, we don’t have full access to its power… but remember, YOUR GIFTS have literally been there the whole time! It’s your responsibility to open, explore, access, perfect these abilities that have been gifted to you!
Sometimes we spend so much time searching for things that are right in front of us… over thinking the obvious and denying others the gifts that we possess… if we only remembered that our gifts are not for us to hoard to ourselves but to bless others with, I think the world would be in such better shape. Perfect your gift. Change your life to change other lives. Change the world…
Anyways Fam, I pray that you all have an incredible weekend and an even better Christmas. I ask that as you enjoy your loved ones that you say a prayer for others. And to truly understand what this season is all about. I love you all and I leave you with this…
James 1:17 NLT
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
Thanks again, God bless and One love.

P.S. Happy Early Birthday Padre!!!
