The Why.

Hey Fam,

It’s Thursday afternoon! I pray you have all been having a wonderful week and on the bright side, the week is almost over. I’ve been trying to get back on track after vacation, and re-integrate both of my realities. As with change, it’s always a little uncomfortable, but necessary. I’m definitely uncomfortable where I am right now and only seek to move forward…

Has anything ever happened to you and you really wanted to understand why? I know a few people who say things like,”I don’t pray because when I was going through (whatever) God didn’t help me.” And I also know people who just genuinely want to understand why they had to go through a situation.

The other day, my friend was having a hard time with her situation and there was so much I wanted to say, but didn’t have the words to form a sentence. So this is for you… sometimes it isn’t meant for us to to understand what we’re going through while we’re going through it. My advice (that you didn’t ask for) is to pray for understanding.

When God is preparing us for something great we can’t know every single detail because some of us won’t believe it. Or sometimes we just can’t handle the why!

What I will say to my friend is this… although you don’t feel like it, I feel like you’re one of the strongest women I know and I am so very blessed to know you. Please don’t feel like you are inadequate, because God is preparing you to be so much more than you can fathom right now! You’re children will grow up and equate you with strength!

And to everyone else, it seems hard now, but it could be worse. So take a deep breath, square your shoulders, put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. Rejoice in the fact that you woke up this morning, and know that everything’s going to be okay! The God that I serve will never fail you!

I pray that you all have a great weekend! I love you and I leave you with this…

James 1:2-8 NLT

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Thanks again, God bless and One love.

P.s. if you missed the radio interview on Tuesday, catch it again this Saturday at 4pm CST. The details are in the picture below! Also, if you’re in the Clarksville area, don’t forget the book signing next Saturday (August 27th) @ Austin Peay! Okay, bye!
