You Don’t Have to Walk Alone

Hey Fam,

It’s Monday! Yikes! How are all of you?!? I pray you all are doing fantastic! This weekend was pretty great!

Sooo, a few days ago I was talking to one of my Bros about this whole concept of accountability. About how much easier it is to stay on task when you are held accountable for your actions. For instance, you ever created a new workout plan with your best friend and things are going great, but then one day your best friend can’t make it so you decide that you deserve a day off from working out?
It happens more times than not, unless you just have this need to stick to routine. Well then one day off becomes two days off and then eventually you’re only working out 2 days a week. And even then the desire has changed, not because you don’t want it, but because you had someone to help push you further!
Like my hardest thing, which I express constantly is my ability to handle everything I have going on right now. Life is fluid though, ever changing, so I sometimes struggle with going with the flow while simultaneously sticking to the things that ground me. This blog for example, it means sooo much to me, yet the consistency in which I used to post has now become a little shaky. Some weeks I post on the designated days, some weeks I don’t post at all (which I feel so bad about! BTW).
In that though, I receive texts and emails reminding me that I didn’t blog, which reminds me that I’m being held accountable for when I said I would blog!
I said all that to say this, everyone could use an accountability partner. Somewhere in life we were told that we had to do it on our own, and then when we need help our pride or ego gets in the way. It’s okay to ask for help!

Anyway, I pray that you all have a great day today. Find an accountability patner, and do something nice for someone other than yourself. I love you all and I leave you with this (even though I’ve left you with this before, I saw it fitting)…

1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

Thanks again, God bless and One love.

P.S. If you’ve been following and waiting for the book, it’s coming VERY soon! You all will get the first scoop =)

  1. It’s very important to be held accountable for your actions and to have someone to help you push a little harder….that someone who knows exactly how to motivate you when you are feeling down, help you cross the finish line and its willing to go that extra mile with you….

On another note I can’t wait to read your book I expect a copy sign by you straight to Iraq…. Lol

    Have a blessed week
