I pray that everyone is doing well and is having a great week so far. Last weekend and this week has been fun, exhausting, revealing, and highly emotional, but even just this morning God showed me how awesome he is. So whatever you might be going through, please know that God is able!
I hear all the time about how millennials have changed the course of how things are done in America. Millennials are often judged by their lack of work ethics, their constant need for breaks in the work day or by their dependence on technology. For my point, I’m referring to individuals born in between 1982 and 2004.
So here is what employers and researchers fail to realize about “Millennials,” we don’t just want a job, but we want a job that has purpose. More than making money, which is nice btw, we want to know that what we’re doing is making a difference! This is why you see more people leaving high paying jobs to try something new, especially if they feel like that new thing will make them feel useful.
Purpose is such a huge part of this generation! It’s hard to carry out an activity or a job when you aren’t connected to the outcome. If you aren’t a “millennial” think about it like this… you ever ask someone to do something for you and it’s done but it isn’t done the way you wanted it… the way you would have done it yourself? Well its the same concept with us… when we’re connected to a cause, we work tirelessly toward the mission.
I usually despise labels, but that right there is the very best thing about being labeled a millennial! Anyway, I love you all and I pray you have a wonderful weekend! I leave you with this…
Ephesians 2:10 NLT
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Thanks again, God bless and One love.
