Hey Fam!

It’s Thursday! I pray you all had a great week thus far! The weekend is drawing near and I sit in the coffee shop writing to you all. Very rarely do I write from here but I was getting too “comfortable” (you know how I feel about that word lol) at home, so here we are. Latte in hand. I’ve been up since 2, so I hope I can make sense of the words in my head for you =)

So I’m sitting with my Sanager a week or two ago in the office and we’re discussing a situation that was going on. We were kind of laughing off the situation even though it was kind of serious and I say well, “you can’t sell a dream to a person with vision.” And she’s like, “You’re right.” lol anyway… I don’t know why I said that or why it came to me, but I’ll do my best to explain why I feel like that statement is true…

Sidebar before that: when I get these random clips of great thought lol (that’s what I call it) I usually have a pen in my hand. Because I’m not that person who walks around just dropping random knowledge lol I’m the type of person who loves to laugh and takes life probably less serious than I should… Thing is, I don’t have worry about my current circumstances because I know that greater is coming… and that’s why I’m usually really free. But I can be serious when it’s permitted.

Okay back on task. I promise (unless I keep drinking coffee… it makes me a little more hyperactive than usual). Sometimes we have people who try to force things on you, like listen to my idea it’s awesome. There’s nothing wrong with that in general… but then u get some people who just constantly try to get you to buy into their ideas and their ideals. They’ll try to sell you dreams of a better life with like get rich quick schemes and whatnot. And it’s like, that sounds nice bro, but I already know where I’m headed so thanks, but no thanks.

Okay let me go further… in the true sense, when a person has a vision, the person is aware that they’re awake and that they’re seeing a vision. But at the same time, they know they aren’t seeing picture of current reality. When a person is dreaming, they’re sleep. It’s a series feelings, thoughts, and images. The main difference between the two is awareness. If I know and am AWARE of the vision that God has for my life, you can’t possibly sell me anything that doesn’t coincide with what I know…The bible has stories where both words are mentioned in the same scripture, also letting us know that although similar, these are two different things.

That’s why it’s important for me personally to seek God before I seek my personal feelings. I refuse to spend time worrying over things I have no ability to change. And because of that relationship, that’s also why you can’t sell me random dreams lol.

Sooo… don’t let individuals sell you things you don’t need =), I love you all, I pray you all have a wonderful weekend, and I leave you with this…
