Those eyes that are always covered projected right back at me, allowing me a visual of chocolate brown morsels dipped in growing wisdom.
Facial features that are usually hidden seems like time has forgiven as the lines on my face still carry innocence.
The same brightness not allowing anything to go unnoticed is the same one leaving me unfocused, as I can’t find one focal point to stay still.
I think I need to get my eyebrows done
This reflection of imperfection becoming friends with fog and introspection, once again causing the billion neurons in my head to move in different directions.
Why does it feel like I’m standing in the middle of an igloo?
Good morning Fam,
It has been a while since I have reached out to you all so early! I pray that you all have a wonderful day today, and for those traveling in the snow, please be extra careful.
So as I’ve said before, I’m apart of this incredible group of writers and we meet on a weekly basis. When we meet, we discuss our writings from the week before. So the way it works for the most part is we are all given the same word, for example, sock. It is up to us to bring this object to life, to make the reader or listener an active participant of the journey.
When you receive the topic you automatically have to start writing (and this is timed writing) so no matter what word or sentence you stop on, you can’t even finish the complete thought.
I won’t tell you what my word(s) was (were) but I thought I’d share one of my pieces with you. Because I wasn’t allowed the opportunity to finish my thoughts, I don’t know where my thought process was headed… but this is what I will say… when you take a good look at yourself in all your imperfect perfection, know that in that very moment that, you are all the perfect you can be. Will you grow? Of course. Can you be better? Absolutely. But for that very second, acknowledge how far you have come and be happy in yourself… then… keep grinding!
I pray that you all have a wonderful weekend. I love you all and I leave you with this…
Proverbs 19:8 NLT
To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper.
Thanks again, God bless and One love.
