Who’s Your Trigger?

Hey Fam,

What’s up!?! I pray that you all are doing well. Sooo… it’s Monday. And I write to you all via airplane. To tell you the truth… I wasn’t ready… I’m probably still not ready to return to life as usual. It has nothing to do with location, but everything to do with not seeing some of the people I love most in this world. (Long Sigh)

Sooo… this weekend I had the (and I use this term loosely lol) pleasure of seeing my little brother play in the first game of his holiday tournament. I really miss seeing him play, and coaching him, so I took pleasure in every second he was on the court. He still plays extremely lazy and would be a force to reckon with if he just moved his feet, put his hands up, and actually attempted to get back on defense! Anyway… his team was loosing by 5, so instead of loudly crowd coaching him… we started cheering. We had a cheer for offense, defense, free throws lol just basically trying to help them get back in the game. Long story short… they lost. Although, they played extremely hard once they realized that they had people in their corner cheering for them. We even said a cheer for them to keep their heads up as they shook the other team’s hands.

The point is, we all have triggers. Some that are negative, and some that are positive. So my question to you is… What are some of your triggers?

We can’t say for sure that the team played harder because we cheered them on, but we also can’t say that it had no effect. Going into the last week of the year, what can we do to ease some of those negative triggers? Personally, I know a few people I stay away from because their outlook on life is purely negative and I don’t wish that disposition for myself. On the other hand, there are a few people who speak life into me so often, I can’t imagine it any other way.

I urge you all to attempt to get rid of the negativity and all the negative people, especially going into the new year. I love you all and I leave you with this…

Titus 3:10-11 NLT

10 If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. 11 For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.

Thanks again, God bless and One love.
