I pray that everyone’s weekend went well and that you all had a great Monday!
So really quick, have you ever been in a place where you know what you want to do, but you aren’t quite there yet? For example, if someone were in school for nursing and someone asked them “what do you do?” Their response, “I want to be a nurse.” No! Want is when you want a piece of candy (lol). If that’s you or a likely response that you’d give, I want to do/be __________ (whatever it is that you seek to do/be), change the way you say it. “I am going to be a nurse!” Confess proudly of what/who you are and what you have to offer the world. 5 months ago if someone asked me what I did, my response would have probably been something like, “I work with kids.” Here’s the thing though, I am so much more than what I clock in to do. Am I boastful about it, ABSOLUTELY NOT, but it’s okay to be excited about what you do. Do you want to become a singer? Proudly confess that you are a singer. No one will recognize you the way you want them to unless you first identify yourself the way you want others to see you.
So now if someone asked me what I do. my likely answer could be, “I’m a writer, a poet, a spoken word artist, a blogger, and soon to be author. Oh, and I also enjoy working with children.” lol that’s a mouthful. And there’s nothing cocky in that statement, I just finally know who and what I am and I don’t have such a hard time confessing it.
So who are you? What have you not been confessing out loud? Do yourself a favor and say it out loud, even if it’s just to yourself. There’s something about hearing it that makes you finally believe it.
Love who you are, love what you do, and confess the life that you want for you =). And of course that has a lot to do with finding your purpose…love God, trust GOD! Love you all and I leave you with this,
Psalm 37: 4-6 NLT
4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.5 Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. 6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Thanks again, God bless and One love.
