Shot Clock

Hey Fam,

I’m going to absolutely skip the awkwardness of explaining why I’ve been gone so long and where I’ve been… Maybe we’ll chat about that next week, but for now, let’s check in about this dwindling shot clock towards the end of the first quarter. At the beginning of the year, it is so easy to make resolutions, plans, and goals. What becomes more difficult is following up on these things. Checking where we are in relation to when we wanted to achieve our goals. In twenty-four days, we reach the end of the first quarter of 2019. So, where are you? Have you started chipping away at your lists, is anything crossed out?

My friends and I are pretty good with holding each other accountable… on every level. Don’t just assume because you threw something random out on group chat that it isn’t going to pop back up a month from now. Since we’re family here I’m doing the same thing!

One of the reasons that I decided to blog today is because a few of you have been holding me accountable. Asking questions like, “when are you going to be blogging again? When is your next book coming out?” While I could continue in the abstract or speak out now about everything, I’m also learning that not everything needs to be explained. Some things just need to be seen. That being said, I have some pretty major goals this year and while I’m holding them pretty close to home, I feel confident in letting you in on one…I will release an e-book later this year…

Can I share with you my biggest challenge?
PROCRASTINATION.
I’m not in the market for a new best friend, but with the way that thing keeps hanging around you’d think we signed pacts with each other. I’m not amused! Exactly the opposite in fact. I spend a good chunk of my day listening to ministries via the web, podcast, reading books, and pretty much avoiding anything that looks like editing…

but there’s something about being exposed that forces you to see what has always been in front of you.

So can I encourage you today?
Whatever you need to complete that feels big, shift your perspective until it looks and feels small. Work on it in chunks and never stop moving forward! Stagnation, procrastination, and fear are dream killers and we don’t accept that here!

Walk boldly into the areas of your life that you want to conquer and remember that you CANNOT fail at your purpose. You are so very loved!

I’m excited to see what you make happen this quarter and this year! Email me, message me, dm me (lol) all of the great things you are doing and I’d love to support. As always, I pray that you all have been great! I hope you have a great week & I’ll leave you with this…

1 Corinthians 15:58 CSB
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Thanks again, God bless and One love.

P.s. in basketball you have 24 seconds on the shot clock before the ball falls out of your possession. That’s where the Inspo for this title came from. K. Byeeeee lol
