Hey Fam!

Sooo it’s Monday. I pray that everyone had a lovely few days since our last chat. I’ve been pretty good! And I’ve discovered the beauty of Coconut milk, spinach, and pineapples blended together (sounds gross right?) But it’s pretty awesome.

So we’ve talked before about being busy and seeking solace and just getting everything in the proper order. Well I was super ready! I bought a planner, I got separate notebooks for the different aspects of my life, I was just READY! Then I began getting some of the things I had been praying for. One of those things was to write more. Not only to write more, but to write more efficiently and with more imagery.

Long story short, I’ve been getting a lot of opportunities to write. With finishing my book, with other writers, with a writing group, it feels like I’m supposed to live with a pen in my hand. (That doesn’t sound too bad) Here’s the deal though, I’m having trouble distinguishing between what I’m supposed to be working on…

In November of last year I went to a young leaders conference. At this conference Elder Mark Moore Jr., spoke of the parable in Matthew 25 about the man who trusts his servants to hang on to his talents. After we went over it, he spoke about instead of praying for more talents we need to pray for the ability to handle the talents we already have so that we may be able to handle the new “talents” we recieve.

So many times we ask for things, like, “I want to be rich.” But in all honesty could you handle being rich? Or would you lose your mind? Like if you can’t be trusted with $200, why would you be trusted with $2000. And comparing that to my situation currently, I need to learn how to handle my writing schedule. If I can’t do what I’m supposed to do now, how would I handle being a full time writer? Smh. I wouldn’t even attempt to answer that right now lol. But now that I’m aware, I can correct myself, and I’ll do better!!! That’s the wise decision right?

Anyway, you know I love you all. If any of you pray for me, please pray for my ABILITY to handle the talents I currently possess and the ABILITY to make wise decisions… I pray you all have a great week and I leave you with this…

Matthew 25:29 NLT

29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

Thanks again, God bless and One love.

P.S. Kaitlyn, it was good hearing from you. Thanks for reading! And let’s do a better job of being efficient if we’re busy =)
